Conjugated Linoleic Acid also known as CLA is a group of fermented Omega-6 fatty acids found in the digestive tract of ruminants including cattle, goats, sheep and buffalo. Primary dietary sources include meat (beef, lamb) and dairy (milk, butter, buttermilk, yogurt, cheese). Supplemental CLA is created from chemically altering linoleic acid sourced from vegetable oils, and therefore has different effects than CLA acquired through natural foods.
