Green Tea Extract is made from dried Camellia sinensis leaves, which contain antioxidant-rich compounds called catechins, specifically epigallocatechins-3-gallate. First imported from India to Japan in the 17th century, consumption has been linked to health benefits including digestion, mental alertness, heart disease and cancer.
Rhodiola rosea, also known as Golden Root, is a perennial flowering herb in the Crassulaceae family native to the high altitude regions of Asia, Europe, and the Arctic. Eurasian traditional medicine used the roots as a stimulant; Vikings used the plant as a strength-enhancer; while today, Rhodiola rosea is used to promote good health, strength, endurance, physical and mental performance, and reduce stress-induced fatigue.
Ashwagandha, also known as Indian Ginseng, is the root extract of the Withania somnifera plant. The herb boasts a horse-like odor, hence the Sanskrit name meaning “horse-smell”. Native to India, Africa and the Mediterranean, this small, woody shrub has been prescribed in Ayurvedic medicine for over 3,000 years. It’s anxiolytic and anti-inflammatory properties have been used in the treatment of stress, fatigue, gastro-intestinal issues, rheumatoid arthritis, sleep disorders, as well as, topically as an analgesic.
